Leaving Cinque Terre for Nice

Hello All,

We are experiencing our first rainy day...so it seems like a good day for a 5 hour train ride to Nice, France. Our main reason for going to Nice will be to check out Monte Carlo, Monaco.

We enjoyed our two days here and went on a 1.5 hour hike yesterday. If you love hiking this is your place. It was also nice to have a kitchen to cook in.
We stayed in the town we stayed in, Riomaggiore, was nice. Our two favorite towns were Manorola (sleepy little place) and Vernazza (the most social of the bunch). All the towns are really small and pretty charming, the biggest town, Monterosso, is only about 1700 people. We really liked staying here to mellow out and get some nature in our systems, but now it is time to move on.

Best,
V&P

Sounds like you're having a great trip so far. Cinque Terre was one of our favorite stops. It's such an amazing location. The perfect place to relax (other than the hiking) in the middle of a long trip. I wish I was there, instead of writing you from my cubicle at work. Keep on a truckin!

Hey guys. Really miss you - but can tell you are having a great time. Sounds like a slow down phase is welcome and I'm envious of the hiking opportunities. Aaron is in town on spring break and trying to slow down for a few days also. Looking forward to seeing some more photos.
