Now in Cinque Terre

Hello Everyone,

We had a great final day in Florence. It was beautiful and a full day of SUN!!!! We saw Santa Croce, which is where Michaelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli are buried. We visited a botanical garden and went on a hike up to Piazza Michaelangelo. From there you could see a fantastic view of Florence and the Arno river. Afterwards, we went to our new favorite Gelato shop in the world and ate 3 cones between us. Pistachio gets the award for best flavor, but we also liked the chocolate mouse and the hazelnut.

We did get some funny Pisa pics but we can't download photos in Cinque Terre - in fact we are in the only Internet Point in the whole place. Basically, Italy has some crazy laws about web usage that have limited our ability to post photos.

Cinque Terre is five small towns on the northwest coast of Italy. We will do some hiking between the towns. We have already taken our first small hike and are getting ready to explore some more. We will be here in our lovely mini-apartment for two days... then maybe Turin? Watch the clock to see where we are as we change locations.

Love,
V & P

I'm at work and as usual very hungry. Normally I would be envious of the whole "travel the world" thing you guys have going on :) but right now all I can think about is the gelato hmmmm. Love the blog. Can't wait to see the pics. Megan
