We are just finishing up our travels in Denmark. We stayed with our friends Trine and Jesper. T was a pen pal of V´s since they were in their teenage years. This is the first time they met. T/J live about an hour west of Copenhagen and have two cute children.
We have been well fed during our three day stay (Trine's dad and Jesper both made us some outstanding meals and we also had two good picnic lunches). Our bellies are full and our clothes are clean. T showed us some Viking sites and taught us about the royals. This included going into a 5,000 year old grave. (See photos below). Then today, T/J took us to see Copenhagen. We went on a canal ride. There is a special way to eat ice cream here, so of course V had to try it! It has two scoops of ice cream, a cookie, and then a swirl of soft serve (the soft serve tastes like a mix of American soft serve and whipped cream). We are so thankful to T/J and their family for hosting us.
We have added a bunch of pictures below in the last post (from Italy to Denmark) and we have greatly changed our itinerary (see it under the photo on the right side).
Safe Travels,
V &P

finaly fotos of your freakin ugly mugs. and some old things. how cool would that be if buildings got wrinkly like people, all of europe would look like it was melting. sorry its late. well it looks like you are having lots of fun(like that episode of happy days).
Hi
I don't think my previous emails made it to you - bummer - I was passing along tips but you two don't need any...what FUN you are having! I LOVED seeing the recent photos - and laughed out loud at your humorous sidelines. I've been to Munich (the large Bierhaus-it's a must! and the gardens are beautiful) and Salzburg (what a charming old city with the beautiful fort - notice the colorful iron signs hanging over storefronts). I miss both cities. Definitely go to see Ludwig's castle on the route between the two cities. You are having the trip of a lifetime! So happy for you! I'm off to find a Ritter bar.

It was a pleasure having you. You are very welcome to come back whenever money and time allows. Mikkeline is asking for you - she wants somebody to entertain her in the backseat. Looking forward to hearing all about CR and the other places you visit.
Love from Trine
