Afternoon in Rome

Hi All -
We promise to keep trying with photos. Some how we can't
upload here, we will try a cafe this week. Not to mention I
accidentally deleted some.... he he.. I am downloading recovery software as we speak. :)

Venice - We finished Venice yesterday with a
trip to San Marco. We saw the inside of the church with its beautiful
gold mosaic ceilings. We then took an elevator made by a company called
SCAM, interesting, to the top of the Campanile. We saw some nice views
from up there but I think you would have to be as high as a helicopter to
get a good view of the canals from above.

Rome - We took the Eurostar Italia today, it was our first experience with the expense of train reservation. We arrived around 3pm, which gave us time to check out Michaeolo's Moses (thanks Mara) and the Trevi Fountain. We also saw the Colosseum but it was already closed for the day. We'll try and go for the tour there tomorrow.
