Hello.
Today was our first full day in Rome and it was certainly impressive. We spent pretty much the whole day at the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's. The museum was packed beyond belief, but it was definitely worth it. Also, because today was the last Sunday of the month, the place was free of charge (which probably had something to do with the crowd). We were blown away by Sistine Chapel. It is simply a piece of work that defies description. St. Peter's Basilica is also incredible. A few days ago I said the the duomo (cathedral) in Milan was the biggest one I'd ever been to....well, now it's St. Peter's.
A note on the pictures we posted last night: We had a major scare with the computer eating all of our photos from Greece, Milan, and Venice. Fortunately, V put in a super-human effort with some memory card retrieval software that she bought online. After many tedious hours, we were able to save almost all of the photos. A few got lost but I guess that's just the price of doing business. Needless to say, our camera is staying away from the sketchy computer that caused the problems. We will continue to try and post pics, but we'll probably be doing it from only computers that give us good vibes. Anyway, V put up those pictures last night at about 2am. One is of the Milan Duomo and the rest are from Venice. There are some from Piazza San Marco in Venice and one from Ponte di Scalzi. The pic that says "SCAM" is from the inside of the elevator at the Campanile in Piazza San Marco that takes up for a 100 meter high view of Venice. It costs about $15 for the two of us to take a 30 second elevator ride, so we found it hilarious that the name of the elevator company was "SCAM".
Thanks for reading. More to come later.

Sounds like the sights in Rome are impressive and the pics are excellent. We watched a program a couple of evenings back about Europe's largest aquarium. This is a ways down the road for you but we assumed this is on the hit list for Spain.
That is a scary one with the camera uploads. If you want to email a few shots as a test - we can build a catelog of files as a backup.
Are you pacing yourself? 3 mo. at this pace is enough to make an old man cringe.
See you in the Post(ings), the Dad
(We saw Kate Campbell in concert last night in Venice - so good)
Hi Guys,
Sorry to not have written, Aaron home for the weekend, took him to get head shots, then he was gone again. Hobbes gone...tough weekend. I wish we were there with you, the pictures look unbelieveable, we are enjoying them alot. Keep them coming, if there is anything we can do on this end, let us know.
Hey! Judging from your list on the side, you've already been to Florence? Yes? No? You didn't mention it I don't think. Please, please, pretty please...any pictures of my beloved Firenze would be appreciated. I so want to go back to my favorite city in the world.
Be safe!
Kim, feeling dramatic tonight
